Start with the simplest thing that answers the business question:
- BI tools (fastest): Power BI (great with Microsoft 365), Looker Studio (free, Google), Metabase (open source)
- Custom dashboard in your app: React + a chart library (Recharts, ECharts) on PostgreSQL views
- Heavy data: a data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake) fed by scheduled pipelines
Why: a BI tool often delivers in days what a custom dashboard takes weeks to build; go custom when the dashboard is part of your product.
